Yay! Season 4, Episode 15, entitled Us, of AMC’s The Walking Dead finally went somewhere!
Don’t get me wrong, I have been LOVING the character development of this half of Season 4 (while being entirely terrified of how much I am falling in love with characters that will probably die now that they’ve had their 15 minutes of Walking Dead fame), but it was nice to see the pace quicken as we head towards the Season 4 finale next week.
Well, we start this episode with the very sense that the pace is quickening, that Terminusis approaching, the tribes are converging.
And, honestly, I can hear a clock ticking.
Because, seriously, a town with the name of Terminus just HAS to be too good to be true! Personally, I’m betting on a tribe of cannibals are living there, but there are other theories on Terminus too. You can read them here.
Firstly we meet up with Professor Eugene Mullet (Josh McDermitt) and his army guard. Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Tara (Alanna Masterson) are still with them, even though it appeared Glenn was alone at the very end of Episode 13. It seems Prof. Mullett knows a lot of sciencey stuff, but then asks Tara which video games she was into before the apocalypse – could this be where his knowledge has come from? Because, let’s face it – a scientist with a mullet? I don’t think so…
So Glenn is determined to travel on alone to find Maggie, even if the rest of the troop don’t want to – especially once Glenn finds one of Maggie’s (Lauren Cohan) walker blood messages. As a result of this, Glenn and Tara end up in a rail road tunnel with nothing but a flash light, two tins of food and a big ole pile of zombie cave in. Oh, and Glenn is minus his riot suit after giving it to Prof. Mullett.
Lucky for him though, since Tara is incredibly clumsy and gets her foot stuck, Prof. Mullett is suddenly more interested in going to Terminus rather than saving the world via Washington. While they are waiting on the other side of the tunnel, they bump into Maggie, Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) and Bob (Lawrence Gilliard, Jr.) and are able to rush in and save the day. (Because, of course, Glenn doesn’t have enough bullets to kill all the walkers advancing on them.)
[insert hysterical crying and laughing because Glenn and Maggie are back together again AND still alive]
It’s happy days after that for this newer, bigger group now. Glenn burns that hideous (and disturbingly creepy) sleeping Maggie photo and Prof. Mullett convinces his guard to go to Terminus first
Next we find out more about the group Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) joined up with at the end of Episode 13. And for those of you who were eagle eyed – did you notice that one of the guys, Tony (Davi Jay), was the one who saw Rick (Andrew Lincoln) as he hid under the bed in Episode 11? That’s okay if you didn’t because the leader of this group, Joe (Jeff Kober), admitted to Daryl that they were now tracking him back to Terminus so that they can officially whoop his arse.
Daryl is finding it hard to fit in with this new group, especially since there are some rules that he didn’t know about. Thanks to catching a bunny and ending up to only half of it for not calling ‘claim’ on it, he gets picked on by one of the guys in the group. Obviously this guy has seen Daryl take a piss and has some sort of penis envy going on because he plants his half of the bunny in Daryl’s stuff and then claims he stole it from him (a deed punishable by getting the crap beaten out of you). Turns out Joe saw the whole thing and as a result Daryl is safe and random angry dude is dead by the morning.
So, speaking about Rick, how is his group faring? Michonne (Danai Gurira) and Carl (Chandler Riggs) are besties with a chocolate addiction. And as a result of a balancing bet, they are dropping candy wrappers all over the place. I’m pretty sure Daryl suspects who the owner of the wrapper is, but doesn’t let up to the group following. This leads me to believe that Daryl also suspects that the guy this group is following is Rick. Wonder if he’ll sneak away quietly in the night now?
This is basically what went down in Episode 15 of The Walking Dead.
This episode concludes with our very first glimpse of Terminus. Glenn and Maggie’s group finally find the end of the the line – and find not a single lock keeping them out.
And then we meet Mary, she’s all smiley and grilling up something on the barbecue – let’s hope it’s not Beth…
Guess we’ll have to wait until Episode 16 of AMC’s The Walking Dead to find out! And considering it’s the Season 4 finale, I’m pretty sure we won’t be any clearer on what exactly is going down in Terminus.
What are your theories on Terminus and how everything will pan out in Episode 16? Let me know in the comments below!
